Saturday will mark sixteen years in New York City for me. Pretty amazing. However, it will also be my last NYC anniversary because I'm moving to Massachusetts.
Before I pack everything up, I thought you might like a peek into my home. I took the photos for myself (after all, once a scrapbooker always a scrapbooker) but I thought you might enjoy a look around before I start ripping everything off the walls. Be warned: I didn't clean up before I snapped the photos and my apartment is definitely not a pretty Pinterest apartment, but it's colorful and filled with light and art and that makes me happy!
Today I'm going to share my main living area with you. It's a big room that serves as living room, dining room, office, and kitchen.
The lace curtains I hung from this open shelving unit really help to hide the mess.
The elephant is a little project I made back in 2010.
I do move the art around from time to time, hanging new pieces and moving old pieces around.

I traveled a different road, but part of me wonders if this could have been what my life as a single artist living in NYC might have looked like if I’d made some different choices at an early age. If only I could…I’d take over your lease in a NY minute. That space is delightful. I have friends in MA and they seem to love it. I’ve only visited once briefly when it snowed. Wish you strength in the move. i hate tearing down and boxing up but I love setting up anew.
