If you follow me on instagram, you've probably seen my stitching in progress. I'm currently working on a large piece and it has been coming together very very very slowly. Today I've gathered five photos of my progress.
I'm kind of addicted to it. There's something so hypnotic about the slow rhythm of hand stitching.

This is really beautiful! And more and more as it is getting finished. I love hand-stitching too, embroidering and sewing, but I’m afraid I would never get such a peace finished.

Hand work is very therapeutic. There is something mesmerizing about the addition of color and texture to a plain piece of cloth. I think the world would be a better, more peaceful–and more beautiful–place if all of us took up some sort of hand work–embroidery, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, etc.
