As I've said before, you can do great things in small bouts of time. Over the past few weeks, I have managed to snatch a few creative sessions in the studio. I used that time to paint one of the moveable walls in my studio.
I began by working out some thoughts in my art journal:
And then I attacked the wall! You can watch the time lapse process video below:
You'll note that the finished mural isn't a copy of the art journal exploration. Instead, I took some of the ideas from that art journal page and applied them to the wall. Here it is:

This project was so much fun! I'm so pleased with how it turned out. I would love do more murals. Let's write that down as a life goal. In the meantime, I have one more side of a wall to paint and I'm currently thinking about how I want to attack it. I'd like it to have a very different feel from this mural. I'm planning to use this mural as a background for when I film videos and take photos.
Perhaps the other wall should be a little less busy? I'm going to have to mull it over….

I love it! I’ll bet the baby will like all those bright colors too! I wish I had a big wall to paint like that, I will have to settle on a smaller canvas and that’s okay!
