If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Helloooooooooooooo! I hope you've had a great week! Today I'm sharing some daily pages from my journal. I hope you find some inspiration in my pages! Please note: The "f-word" is featured on one of the spreads in my journal. If this is offensive to you, or you're at work, or you're with your children, please stop reading now.
I think of my journals as a place to experiment. I've been practicing drawing profiles and you can see that on this page.
Remember this stamp? I blogged about it at the beginning of the month. To make the prints pop, I used a white pen to trace the lines.
This page features one of my favorite things about my Junque Journal: an uneven edge!
I collect leftovers in my art journal. This was an image I cut with my ScanNCut when I was working on some ideas for Chinese New Year decorations.
Moonlight pens make lettering pop!
A white pens really makes the stamped date and day pop!
A painting instructor once told me to stop using so much white. It's good advice, but I can't help myself!
This spread features a gift bag that my friend Birgit gave me.
You can see in the photo that my hand is in the bag. When I got the bag it was white with the black lettering on it. I added the black and white lines.
Have I mentioned that I love stamps?! The black prints are from a hand carved stamp. The red ones are from my new line of stamps with Impression Obsession: dots and days of the week.
Here's the back side of that fabulous uneven edge!
And here's the back of the bag.
More stamping. I need patterns in my art. They make me happy. Sometimes I make them with stencils, sometimes with stamps, and sometimes I hand draw them, but I always have patterns!
This print was made using a hand carved stamp. I used two colors of ink to print it. (It looks like more than two colors because of where the colors meet and blend.)
I used the dash lines to help blend the back of the bag into the rest of the page. You can hardly see the seam where I inserted the bag!
And because so many of you said you loved having the supply list, here's another one!
Here is this week's linky list:
Thanks for stopping by!

I love the plenty of whites on your pages. White suddenly brightens up the page, the face or whatever is there :)Rules are set to be broken. I really think the alphabet you designed is so cool.

I always love your liberal use of white in your work – makes it your signature look and is so graphic and cool!

Can you give some tips on how you do the large lettering that usually goes around your figures? (if you have already done so in another blog post, maybe you can tell me where to look) I am working on one now and decided to try it out on tracing paper first, but I have still done more erasing than writing. It also seemed easier to go backwards, putting the last letters in first. Anyway, I love the way yours always looks and would love some tips. Your blog posts are always the highlight of my email. Thank you for them!

I have an online class called, “Getting Started with Lettering” that goes over how I do lettering. For how I do lettering in my art journal, I share all that info in my “30 Days in Your Junque Journal” online class.
