I don't know what it is about neon pink.  I'm not even a pink girl!  But I am oddly attracted to neon pink.  As you may know, neon paint colors tend to be transparent.  Therefore, I thought it would be fun to take my tube of neon pink paint and see how I could incorporate it into a print.  Here's what I came up with:

I particularly love the section of the print (above) where you can really see how the neon pink is interacting with the other colors in the print.

It's easy to get into a color rut.  Sometimes adding a little something unexpected ends up shaking everything up in a really good way.  I love how this print turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Just a quick reminder that I'm teaching two classes at The Ink Pad in NYC this weekend!  I believe "Composed Prints" is sold out, but ETA: One spot has opened up in "Composed Prints" (the techniques I used to create the print in this blog post) AND there are still a few seats in "Develop a Mark Making Vocabulary."  Hope to see you there!

  • Hi Julie,
Any chance of doing the composed prints as an online class? I love it!

  • Hi Julie, I really like the color combos here. The the green on yellow and the neon pink. Nice layering & color choices!
