I don't think I will ever tire of monoprinting.  There are so many interesting possibilities and complexities and challenges.  It's an art form that you can enjoy as a beginner, but that becomes even more fascinating as you gain skills.  Here is a new monoprint I made last week and I loooooove it.

PurposefulGelli-wm
It's very minimalistic for me.  Not a ton of pattern everywhere and the color palette is pretty strictly primary.

I'm trying to push myself to find restraint.  It's a real struggle.  But what's the point of doing the same thing over and over again?  I always want to improve myself and try new things!

Thanks for stopping by!

PS: If you're interested in creating prints like this one, come to my Purposeful Printing class March 21 & 22.  Here's a quick video all about it:

All supplies are included in order to make it easy for you to travel to class.  So hop on a plane and come and see me!

  • Yes, online class too please. I took your last online Gelli Print corse. This looks like volumn 2, a continuation that shows how to do what you are offering in NYC. Thank you :=)

  • you are so right about monoprinting. I have been lost in uni work so long that my mojo gets lost, but a weekend of printing gets me motivated. The prints I am working on need a few layers, but I have over a dozen “purposeful prints” to work on and three new embroideries our of it. I will be putting my results up over the next little bit on instagram (vickisstuff)
