You know that I can't pass up an art museum! So, on Saturday — our day off — I headed to the Columbus Museum of Art with my friends Joe & Joe, who are Columbus locals. Here's a bit of what I saw:
I'm not sure that photos do this sculpture of a woman justice. It was magical to come near her and discover the stars twinkling in her skirt. Read the placard with information about the piece and you might get chills. I did.
I had to read the placard by this horse sculpture TWICE. Maybe, even three times. I was 100% sure that it was made from driftwood. But, it turns out…it's not!
As you can see from that last series of photos of me holding mini versions of Frank Stella's shapes up, the Columbus Museum of Art was full of hands-on activities for exploring art. I loved that!
Can you believe that there are more photos?! Yes, indeed. I'll be back with part two tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by!

The blue lady is my favorite. She used to be in the atrium, and the stars weren’t as distinct, but I worry, now, that she’s all cramped in that little room. I’m also a fan of Topographic Landscape and our one Georgia O’Keefe. I visit CMA several times a year, and always find something new or deeper. Thanks for sharing.
