As 2016 draws to an end, it's time to look back at what a great year it was. To get the ball rolling, I thought I'd share my favorite tutorials that appeared on this blog in 2016. (Get ready to bookmark this page!) I chose them based on the following criteria:
- the technique or concept is cool
- the finished product made me happy
- the project is easy to complete
- the tutorial was genuinely instructional and not simply a demonstration

Yep, good tutorials…I made the flowers and tried the stencil bumping when the blog posts originally came out, and pinned the cut paper lantern and the cool pencil case videos for future use. I’ve got to remember to look into thermofax screens. I made one once in a class but it never caught my interest. Now I want to revisit the possibility of using them for my journals.

I am finally getting round to posting to you here. I love all the creative projects you have done. As you know my favorite is the Brother scanncut projects. I have made several of them and the instructions and videos made it easy for me to follow. I love the flower and have also made the leaf votive and the bookmark that it originates from. I took your lead and made a pumpkin votive as well. I have also tried out the snc canvas tutorials and have learned a great deal from you and your videos. Thank you for those and the posts and videos make me love my snc more and more.
You have inspired me to go on to other creative adventures. I,E. painting with acrylic and water color paints and colored pencils etc. My living room/ craft room is full with lots of crafting materials. My husband added to my crafting materials with a 134 case full of colored pencils and chalks and water color pencils, pastels and even the little model. I want to make the model an outfit and set him out. I still have a long way to go with human figures and faces. Like you I love the big eye.
