Art Journal Every Day: Daily Pages from November 2015

from the Balzer Designs Blog: Art Journal Every Day #artjournal #artjournaleveryday

If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek.  Even if you're not on social media, you can see everything (from twitter, pinterest, instagram, and facebook) that uses that hashtag here.

Wow.  I didn't realize quite how long it had been since I shared pages from my daily art journal.  It has been a few months.  In fact, I'm already a goodly way into a new art journal and I haven't even shared all the pages from the old journal!  So much to share and so little time.  You can expect a lot of daily pages from me for the next few weeks.  So to get us started, here's a peek at some pages from November 2015:

My journal is a record of my daily life.  I often make note of significant world events.

I took an old postcard I found (for a show I directed a decade ago) and turned it into a flap on this page.

This next page has no journaling and no text.  It doesn't even really have a focal point.  It's just color and pattern and I think it looks lush and lovely!

  • Oh nice to hear you are coming to Stockholm. I think you could be interested in seeing Liljevalchs Spring exhibit. Many artist are in it, not that known , but I hear so much good about it. This year they are renovating so they are in a temporary place, in the central of Stockholm. Read more here http://www.liljevalchs.se/english/ I’m planing on going there on Wednesday since I’m temporarily in Stockholm that day.
Or why not the modern museum of art or the Abba museum.
And to eat I recommend a polish restaurant. http://www.mormorskok.se/hitta-hit/ Can’t find a English pages there unfortunately.

  • I love the Södermalm neighborhood for quirky shops (small designers and good second hand ones). Especially the quarters called SoFo (south of Folkungagatan street). The newish photography museum is said to be excellent, though I have not yet been myself (I’m from Finland). Enjoy!
