I'm delighted to bring you another episode of the Adventures in Arting Podcast!

If you do not see the podcast player above, please click on this link.  You can listen to a podcast anywhere and at any time.  It is a recording that is available to you whenever you'd like to listen.  If you'd like to download it to your iTunes library, click here.  You can also pause and rewind or fast forward as you desire.  I like to listen to podcasts while I'm making art.  It's a little like hanging out with friends while you art.

Today we're talking to Karen Grunberg.

This year she has three major art projects she's working on:

The page above is from her project focused on learning lettering and picking intentions weekly around her OLW (one little word) which is listen (more here-> http://www.karenika.com/archives/30019).

The spread above is from a project called "this i know," which is about learning doodling and doing journaling.

These are pages from a third project for this year called "remember this," which is about doing mixed media, honoring her word and writing down things that she needs to remember for herself.

On the podcast we discuss Karen's career path, her amazing ability to juggle a ton of projects, her creative drive, and some of her many creative projects.  We also discuss finding your personal style, a topic on which Karen did a guest post for this blog — find it here.

Be sure to leave us your comments and questions.  I always like to know what's on your mind.  Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hey Julie – I was so excited to see this post on your blog – I LOVE your Podcast. I am a subscriber and the Podcast has not shown up in my player. I dont know why this is – the App is up-to-date and my subscription is on. I even removed the subscription and subscribed again but the last episode shown in 016: Jamie Makes Stencils…
I tell you all this not because I want you to troubleshoot my problem (I will just listen from your site) but just wanted you to be aware of the issue. Forgive me if you are already aware.
    Thanks!

  • Thank you, Julie, for introducing me to Karen’s work. Every one of her images blows me away – they are so clear and address many of the things I am dealing with personally – and in developing my skills and style. I love her style and can’t wait to listen to the podcast.
