This is it! The final stencil hop of the season. And as you can see from the graphic above, this week we're doing something a little bit special. This week I'm teaming up with the talented ladies from the Impression Obsession Design Team to show off the Balzer Designs matching stamps and stencils!!
Each stamp set works independently.
Each stencil works independently.
Each stencil has a matching stamp set. Each stamp set has a matching stencil. And they work together.

Let's meet the super talented ladies from the Impression Obsession Design Team:
- Mitra Friant: Mitra is the owner of Impression Obsession.
- Jeanne Streiff: Jeanne is a member of many Design Teams including Sizzix, Card Positioning System, and FlowerSoft. She is also a moderator over at Split Coast Stampers (which if you've never visited has great tutorials and lots of good advice).
- Daniela Dobson: Daniela is a stamping experet. Besides Impression Obsession, she is also on the Design Team for brands such as Technique Tuesday and Clearsnap. She has been published in many magazines including Scrapbook Trends and Paper Crafts Magazine.
- Laura Fulcher: Laura is the Design Team Coordinator for Memory Box. She is also a Copic Certified Designer and has been rubber stamping since 1996.
- Vicki Garrett: Vicki is a Product Education Specialist for ShinHan Arts. She is on the Design Teams of several companies besides Impression Obsession, including The Stamps of Life, Card Positioning Systems, and Stampotique Originals.
- Jenny Gropp: Jenny is a Copic Certified Designer and, like me, a fan of the Genesis Paper Trimmer. On her blog she says, "Rubber Stamping and creating cards is my therapy, it keeps me sane…my craft room is it's own little world."
- Dina Kowal: Diana has been stamping since 1993. Her work has appeared in several magazines including Somerset's Take Ten and Paper Crafts Magazine. She also licenses Christian-themed collage stamp art to several different companies including Impression Obsession.
- Julie Koerber: Julie has had dozens of cards published in publications such as Rubber Stamper Magazine and Cardmaps Today. She is currently the Design Team Coordinator for Flourishes and was a Papercrafts Gallery Idol Top 5 Finalist in 2008.
I'm super anxious to see what these ladies have done to bring these stamps and stencils into their style of creating!

My favourite was the stars and circles because it was used so differently and I wouldn’t have thought of buying it before seeing what everybody did with it.

my favorite stencil hop would be difficult to choose. i love them all. i think pomegranate was my favorite. i love what michelle did with the stencil. pointy circles would also be a favorite of mine. but… then there was peekaboo. see i can’t choose.

I liked the stars and circles, but this one is my favorite because of the explanatory videos. What I learned is that 1. People who struggle with left/right better stick to symmetrical sets and 2. I gotta have that butterfly set! And the stars and circles. And the layered tickets…

I loved all the stencil hops. I guess if I had to pick a favorite it would have to have been the flower piecing.
I enjoyed the projects that came out of the peek-a-boo stencil hop. Those fabric projects are some of my favorites. It shows how versatile your designs are – can use them on so many surfaces. That said, I am so partial to birds and I just love the bird stamps/stencil set.

Hmm..difficult question :p I would have to say initially my fave hop would have either been the pointy circles of funky tags but now I have to say its definitely today’s stencil/stamp hop. It’s just super versatile and I love all the projects created with them!

I really have enjoyed each stencil hop! It’s amazing to see how different artists interpret each stencil. But my favorite was the lotus blossom hop — it was really inspiring to see the stencils used on fabric and in a 3D craft project. Very cool!

Of the stencil hops, i loved many, but the wedding ring one made a impression. Love the versatility and the ”lace desing” inside the borders. The pointy flower made me happy too. But your stamps and stencils of today really take the cake. I saw some fafulous cards on that blog hop. We saw everything from LO, to cards, to journal pages, all of them very inspirering. My favorite has been the pomegranate stencil. I haven’t had a chance to purchase my own but the video you did with that stencil was so great. I even tried the technique a couple of times in my art journal with different stencils.

While each stencil hop is unique, I particularly enjoyed the May 3 Funky Tags hop. I like creating art on small tags when the inspiration strikes, and then later incorporating them into pages or cards. Sometimes smaller is better!

I always hate picking favorites. I really enjoyed seeing all the different ways people chose to use your stencils. There were so many great projects I had never thought of Diana Trout’s game was so clever as was Alisa’s hot pad and Tammy’s tags were gorgeous! – I just LOVE stencils! Trying to pick a fovorite of you stencils is like trying to pick your favorite child, it just can’t be done. They are all so versatile and the stencil hops have showed us just how unique thay are. OK, maybe if you twist my arm really hard I would pick the Wedding Ring. So many ways to use it but that’s true of them all.

I have a couple favorites – LOVE the butterfly sets and stencil. Love the flow and the words in them and that they are symmetrical! I also love the circles stencil and set – would make for really nice and striking masculine cards & projects which is always hard!!

hmmmm, this is a toughy!!! I keep looking back at the butterflies, so I guess this would be my fave. However, I LOVE THEM ALL!! Butterflies always help complete a page, no matter what genre of scrapping you might be making – a card, journal page, mixed media, they always “fit in”, so I know I would be using the stamps and stencils the most. Thanks for this prize, its stupendous!!!!
It’s hard to choose just one … love the woodgrain, I could see many uses for it on my cards. And the Butterflies are definitely on my wish list. However, my favorite from the Stencil Hop would have to be the Wedding ring stencil mainly because Valerie Mangan used it to decorate cookies !! Now that is out of the box!

Both of them gave me a lot of my own ideas and they had good advice, such as Mitra said that she was a bit overwhelmed at the task so she started putting color on a large canvas and then stamped and stenciled and tried things and then tore out what she liked. This gave her room to explore rather than starting with a quarter of a sheet of paper and thinking that the card had to be perfect. Anyway, I am not sure which sets I like best, there are three in the top running. Thanks for sharing.

Like someone up there said before me it’s great how you and your peeps give out so much knowledge about how to use the stencil’s. That’s great for people like me who run out of idea’s rather quickly. I loved what you did with the Peek-a-Boo stencil. It was so simplistically brilliant to use punchinella to put the circles inside the moons. I adored the colors and the stitching on your project. I thought what Joanne Sharpe did with the same stencil was so fabulous.

my computer has been in the shop for weeks. Just got it back and have spent all day looking at your blog hops. I am always amazed at the talent you have. Lotus blossoms are one of my favorite images at the moment, mainly because of the symbolism behind the flower in eastern religions. So I definitely loved that hop. I also liked the intricacy in the midst of simplicity in the wedding band stencil.

I think my favorite is the lotus blossom. I was so intrigued by layering the stencil. I also loved the faces even though I think they’re only stencils and not stencil/stamp combos (maybe they could be though – hint, hint!).

the layered beads looks like fun! im on a hunt for a background stamp that’s relatively simple to use, covers a large area at once, not too flowery and flourish but has some kick to it. this looks like it fits my criteria and then some!

I LOVE the stencil hops, because I never thought there would be so many ways to use stencils! My favorite was the Flower Piecing on aluminum by Amy Tutterow, because I like to use new material, and I think the urban look of metal constrasts nicely with the vintage look of the sentcil.
