Welcome to day two of stamping inspiration and giveaways!
For seven days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday — we're skipping the weekend & there's a special unrelated post on Friday night coming at you) I will be giving away one of my brand new stamp sets from Canadian stamp manufacturer, Stamping Bella! All of the stamps are specifically aimed at art journaling. Of course you can use them for lots of different things, but my intention in creating them was for you to use them when you art journal! Because I got a few e-mails about this, let me reiterate that you have to leave a comment in the comments section of my blog to have a chance to win. Today's featured stamp set is "Julie's Journaling Labels."
Four hand drawn ticket shapes perfect for all kinds of journaling, adding dates, or simply using as decorative elements!
When I was designing this line of art journaling stamps I thought long and hard about what kind of stamps I wanted, but couldn't find anywhere. The perfect circles from yesterday were the absolute first thing that popped into my mind! These tickets were number two. Why?
See that stamp second from the top? It's a bit obscured by the logo. That's the stamp that kicked off this whole set. In my daily art journal I write the day-of-the-week, the date, and the time next to every single entry. Sometimes I stamp little ovals or doilies around the date to make it look cute. But I wanted something more square that wasn't a square. Enter the divided ticket! Perfection!
And of course all the different styles of tickets can be used for this same date purpose:

My most used stamp is a toss up between an Autumn Leaves Flourish and an old-old-old Happy Birthday stamp(probably one of the first stamps I bought – it’s just the right size for almost any card shape I make).

My most used stamp is a butterfly I bought so long ago I cannot remember the maker but she is used everywhere. Simply beacuse I love the whole concept of being free after a long time of creating oneself. I feel I found myself when I started crafting. 😀

Wow, just love these stamps. My most used stamp is a funky heart I carved myself. I use it almost as a signature, it’s in just about every page I art journal. I love that it says something about me, that kind of off kilter funkiness. Thanks for this, it’s fun. 😉

The stamp I use the most must be my script stamp, closely followed by one that looks like the brown foxing dots you get on old paper and photos, love that one too.

I have a tree that I like, because it doesn’t have leaves, and I can turn it into anything that I want. And a bunch of postage-type things, like – ack, I can’t remember the name – the things that the post office puts over postage! 🙂

I would have to say that my most used stamp is a square woman’s face. I use it the most for two reasons: 1) Since I joined the Peace Corps I was only able to take very few art supplies with me and this was one of them and 2) I love to make wacky collage people using that face as well as backgrounds for my art journal.

Also it worked fabulously to make one of the tags for the sewing class and the strips for the flower in the sew your own flowers part of class. The second most used is a dictionary background also by Hero Arts. Used in the same manner! I am waiting for my circles by julie to arrive and after seeing these labels today wishing I had ordered them too!

My most used stamp is a noise stamp. It just adds speckles.It’s that little bit of texture you need sometimes to tie everything together. Great set of ticket stamps,Julie, they will be very versatile.

I’m not sure of the name; but it’s a doodling stamp of sorts w/ tiny flowers, hearts, curls, scrolls & dots…very similar to something I would do myself. I never thought about using one stamp//or a few stamps to create a base page … I like it !!!! Right now it seems like alot of my nieces and nephews are having babies …. and I have a baby stamp that is perfect for the baby card … we have a set of twin boys coming our way soon … so I will double stamp the baby !!!!!!

What I use most changes frequently, but if I had to count the number of times I’ve used one stamp, the winner would be an old old Stampin’ Up one of a stand of trees. It’s kind of a silhouette, realistic and I use it a lot in holiday cards or when I need a more masculine feeling card.

Currently my most used stamp is a french script stamp from Stampin up. I love it for many reasons. One is that the french script is just beautiful to look at. It is also quite large and is great on a background for layering. It covers a lot of space.

my most used stamp is a little wooden block (from my box of building bricks from when I was a toddler) with a cotton line orderly winded around it (fixed it with gel medium). I use the little streaks for all kind of things: decoration, making little lists etc.

I love these stamps! My most used stamp is a journaling stamp which is not as cute as these stamps. I love journaling stamps because I need lines for my terrible handwriting in art journals and scrapbook pages. I love the idea of images of tickets for journaling stamps. Fab idea!

the stamp i use most is my date stamp. you know one of those rolling office stamps. adding the date is often an afterthought, so i can almost find a place where i can squeeze that one in. i like a lot of my other date stamps but i forget to use them.

I love those journaling stamps!! I think my most used stamp is from a set of acrylic birthday stamps that I bought at Goodwill for a few dollars. They feature birthday sentiments and I use the “Happy Birthday” one all the time for cards. I really got my money’s worth out of that set!

My most used set is my set of lower case typewriter alphabet letters. I love stamping out quotes and words rather than writing them- it adds more *punch* to my pages. Plus, I’m not crazy about my handwriting 🙂

My most used stamp is probably my wood grain background stamp. I have had it for ages and have not really taken very good care of it…so it stamps kinda wonky now…but i love the look of it even more as it ‘ages’…

My favorite stamp is a leafy vine that I created after I learned about the sticky-backed soft stamping material. I cut out the leaves and the stem and stuck the pieces on a 4″ by 12″ piece of foam core board. I realized that I can make any sized stamp I want.

Love those label stamps!! My most used stamp is probably a Go See Do stamp I got in a Studio Calico kit… I make a lot of travel minis, so its made an appearance in just about all of them! lol

I’d have to say my fave stamp is this Happy Birthday stamp and another set of Hero Arts stamps with birthday/friend wishes. They get used all the time due to versatility. They are also good quality.

My most used stamp… that’s a tough one. I think it would be my Prima – Paintable Clear Acrylic Stamps – Grid. I use it over top of a lot of collages (that and my Hero Arts script stamp) to bring it all together. It’s in constant use and is easily the best two bucks I ever spent.

Love the idea of art journaling stamps! My favorite stamps are my butterfly stamps. I am on a butterfly kick and am starting an art journal with a butterfly theme. I think it must be my ‘text stamp’ – it’s a big one with (almost) unreadable (French) text, and it works great on all sorts of backgrounds. It’s ‘universal’ and usable on almost every kind of page/layout!

I have a lot of stamps so I had to stop and think, but the one I probably use the most is a ‘mesh’ stamp by Magenta, you can
see it here on these ATCs I made. It is just a simple open-weave mesh but I love it because it adds texture and interest to almost anything. I have had it and used it often for probably 8 years.

My favourite and most used stamp is a negative stamp of a swirly fern leaf. It was the very first stamp that I bought and its perfect for backgrounds, flourishes and more. I’ve used it so many times… and bought a replacement when it looked like the old one was dying!
My favourite and most used stamp is a negative stamp of a swirly fern leaf. It was the very first stamp that I bought and its perfect for backgrounds, flourishes and more. I’ve used it so many times… and bought a replacement when it looked like the old one was dying!

My most used stamp would probably be one of my “happy birthday” stamps. Then it would probably be a toss up for one of my kids sets or a set of very versatile trees that work really well for just about any purpose.

My most used stamp is a circle with ornaments around (purple onions? if I remember right). Haven’t thought about it before, but now when you ask it’s probably because of the frame it makes, perfect both for leaving blank and for filling with text or a picture!

Honestly, my favorite stamp is one I made from a wine cork. I cut thick lines into it and now I can make repeating dashes or repeating squares depending on how much I turn the cork.

What I use most is not just one stamp but one stamp design – a flower. You can do so much with it. Stamp it right on you project, stamp it on solid CS or Deco paper and cut it out; leave it as is or color it in. Leave it just the one flower or layer many. It goes on and on………….

My most used stamps are actually a category of stamps – I *love* all sorts of journalling stamps. The earliest set I ever bought was by Lil Davis. Why? I am primarily a scrapbooker, and I like using journalling spots on my layouts. Stamps make it easier and I can add little touches of colour to match my layouts.
