I’m making layered printing super easy! Read on to find out all the details and watch the tutorial video.
If you follow me on instagram, you may recall that last December I created a series of reduction prints.

You can see lots of process videos on my instagram page. Here’s an example of one:
As you can see from the video, the print is created in layers. Kae Pea (the owner of Art Foamies) saw these prints and asked me if could create a set of stamps that would allow other people to create these kinds of layered images.
And so, this 4-piece foam stamp set was born. It’s designed to help you create vibrant, layered prints in minutes—no carving tools required.

How Does the Layered Printing Work?
This set includes four jigsaw-style foam stamps that can be used together (or in different combinations) to create stunning floral designs.

It’s super forgiving and so much fun to use!
You can:
- Use just one or two or three stamps for a simple look
- Layer all four for a rich, dimensional print
- Mix and match colors for unique combinations every time
- Use with acrylic paint, stamping ink (I love Versafine Clair), or Inktense blocks.
My Go-To Tips for Layered Printing with these Foam Stamps
Here’s what I’ve learned from playing with this set:
- Start with a keystone stamp: One of the two larger pieces serves as a great anchor for layering. Ink it up with a juicy pigment ink pad (I love Versafine Clair).
- Don’t stress about perfect alignment: The joy is in the offset! Imperfection adds charm and character.
- Try the “ghost print” technique: After one print, re-stamp without adding more ink for a softer second impression. The results are dreamy!
- Double-up your ink colors: Want to blend orange into pink? Go for it! Layered stamping with pigment inks allows for vibrant, painterly results.
- Do a little stamp surgery if needed: I even show in the video (below) how to adjust your stamp using a craft knife to tweak those edges and make your white outlines pop.
What Will YOU Make?
Here’s just a few things I thought of:
- Hand made greeting cards
- Art journaling pages
- Prints to sell or give away
- Seasonal decor
- T-shirts
- Aprons
- Fabric printing
