I was absolutely delighted to spend a few hours at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. Today I'm going to share the first two floors of art: the 20th Biennale of Sydney and selections from their permanent collection. Next week I'm going to share a really wonderful special exhibit from the third floor of the museum.
Come with me to the museum….
I enjoyed the whole museum, but it was some of the traditional aboriginal art that I really remember. I think those patterns and colors are making a distinct impression on me. I can't wait to see how they influence the art that I create!
Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous photos. Thank you. You are sure to get much inspiration from the aboriginal art.

It is an amazing Museum, isn’t it. I have been several times. I am in Sydney for the next 6 months, to look after my new grandson. Normally l am in London. I wondered if you were free at ny time, if you fancied meeting up for a coffee and chat ? I love your Art work. Lynda 🙂

Hi Julie
I am a French admirer of your work and I subscribe to your blog for some time.
It happens that I am currently in Australia, Sydney.
I was now in the neighborhood of the Museum of Modern Art to Circular Quay ….
I wanted to warn you that there is another exhibition of contemporary art on Cokatoo Island, a small island in the bay, very easy to reach by taking a ferry from circular quay.
This island is full of old industrial buildings that are open for the exhibition.
It seems that it is not to be missed.
I would be tomorrow, maybe we will meet them.
Sydney is a great city, there is so much to discover.
have a nice trip

Good Morning from the States,
I am so impressed with the Art Culture in Australia. I truly loved this exhibition. My heart was totally touched by Richard Bell. The fabric Art was fabulous. I did love all the exhibition.
What I understood from the Aboriginal exhibition was the pains that they suffered, Their existence, their history and their survival and way of life.
Captain Cook and Black Beard have some things in common. Captain Cook in Australia and Black Beard here in the states North Carolina’s Oakracoke Island.
As I have loved all the other museums I too love this one. Thank you so much for sharing these great pictures.

I was surprised and extremely happy to see all the textile art. I really appreciate you sharing your art museum visits as it lets me see art I would otherwise not get to see. If you have time, I’d love your thoughts or comments or attribution on images from future visits. Again, thank you so much for these!
