Today is Election Day in the USA. Like so many other people, today's election has been weighing heavily on my mind. I always like to work through stress with art. I find it meditative and relaxing. Over the weekend, I made two chine-collé prints with a block I carved a few years ago. I originally thought that there wasn't enough open space for chine-collé, but I was very wrong. I love how both the prints turned out.
Finally, I saw this online and it really resonated with me:
I want to live in a world where LGBTQ children and adults are treated fairly and kindly. I want to live in a world where abortion is 100% legal and easily available to all. I want to live in a world where books aren't banned. I want to live in a world with fewer guns and no more mass shootings.
I will be standing up and voting for the world I want to live in.

Thank you, Julie, for so eloquently saying what so many of us are thinking. I was nervous about the last 2 presidential elections but this one is even more critical because so much can change if we have even minor changes in Congress and at the local levels. We cannot lose our freedom!
