Way back in June 2014, I made a wire bound junque journal using the Cinch tool.
In essentials, the Cinch cuts the holes in your paper and then "cinches" the wire binding after you feed it through the holes. You can watch this short video that shows exactly how it works:
Last week I pulled this wire bound journal out of my stash of hand made journals (Yes, I have a stash of hand made journals — I make them faster than I can use them!) and decided to give the cover a little glam up. I simply added a big block of text:
I love the way it turned out! I cut the text from vinyl and sealed it with a layer of Matte Medium. (Maker & Super Learner Members have access to the cut file that I used.) You could get a very similar look with rubber stamps or even hand painted text.
Now that my art journal is all glammed up, it's time to put it to use!
