Remember that small quilt I made for my Quilt Guild Challenge?  I wanted to try it again with a few variations, so I took some of the fabric I gelli printed earlier this year and added a bit more to it:

Fabric-wm

I cut up the fabric and created this kind of crazy and cool quilt:

For the back of the quilt I used a remnant of fabric my Mother gave me.

QuiltBack-wm
When I was a little girl she made the kitchen curtains from this fabric (hand sewn because she didn't own a sewing machine).  I love the sentimentality of including this fabric on the back of this little mini quilt!

I'm still not sure that I got it to quite match the idea in my head, so I'm clearly going to have to try again!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • I just love quilts and I love how you printed on fabric using a Gelli plate and then incorporate into a quilt. What beautiful fabric from your mom. I bet she made beautiful curtains, and by hand no less. I tried quilting and took a class, but did not get the hang of how to put it together to sew. I loved the fabric squares more than I loved the process for putting it all together. I enjoy how you push the limits or maybe try things outside the box and incorporate into a new form. Thanks for sharing.

  • Wow! That is really a handmade quilt! It is so unique and beautiful. I enjoyed watching you last night on HSN along with Amber and Beth. It was nice to see the ScanNCut as the special. I wasn’t tempted to buy this time since I bought one 6 months ago and love it! Oh, I loved your outfit and your shoes. I have the same ones in a different color. They are so comfy. I hope your day goes well!
