Hey you guys!  The kind folks at Gelli Arts sent me their GIANT Gelli Plate (20×16). Because it's so big, it's perfect for printing on fabric fat quarters! (Fat quarters are usually 22×18.)

GelliPrintingOnFabric
In the video, I'm sharing my very first time using this giant plate (so fun) and demonstrating how quick and easy it is to print up tons and tons of custom fabric.

Supplies Used:

Now I just have to decide what to do about all this yummy hand printed fabric?!  I'm sure I can come up with some ideas!!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • This was a great little demo to watch over coffee this morning !!
Question: How long did you let your fabric dry ?
I loved how the fabric seemed to remain soft after painting on it.
    Thanks Julie

  • Can you teach us how to make it washable so the paint won’t disappear when washed?

  • Love your prints, and a way to use the material I have been hoarding. Thanks for the tip on making our own gel plates. I am looking forward to trying this!

  • Julie, Many thanks for sharing your artsy life experiences with us. My granddaughters watch your mail with me. They love museums and like your comments about what you see in them. They are 6 and 11 and have participated in the Boston museums program for kids…amazing what they remember! I have a commercial Hello plate but usually make my own. I have several that are several years old. I love the large size and will be looking for a cookie sheet or a large shallow container to make a new plate. I look forward to making larger printed fabric and making a quilt top of my own prints. Thanks for sharing. HM
