In honor of the $50 automatic rebate on the ScanNCut 350…
…I've got three ScanNCut video tutorials for you!
The first video tutorial is a simple project that I was inspired to create after wandering the aisles at Staples. I found some chalkboard contact paper and I knew that I wanted to make something with it. Isn't it funny how you can be inspired by a simple trip to the office supply store?
Take a peek at what I made:
Please note that these are made from contact paper, so they're not dishwasher or microwave safe. But they're easily peel-able and restick-able on plastic containers like these.
Watch the video for the how-to:
If you don't want to make your own chalkboard labels, you can buy some really cool pre-made chalkboard labels already cut into fancy shapes, including these ducks!
Next up, a technique video. We often talk about how thick the ScanNCut can cut. Let's talk about how thin it can cut! In this video I share tips for cutting painted deli paper, tissue paper, and book pages with your ScanNCut
Here are the borders I cut in the video:
For my third video, an answer to a question: a number of people have asked me if there's a way to curve text in ScanNCut Canvas. Unfortunately, there isn't a button to push, but there is an easy hack. Watch the video for the how-to:
And here's the curved text from the video:
I cut my curved text from vinyl and put it onto a plain white jewelry box. (An easy way to dress up a gift box.) I hope you'll experiment with this technique and try curving your text too!
Finally, I encourage you to get to know ScanNCut Canvas. It's free online cloud-based software that allows you to do so much more with your machine! Here's a little top ten list I put together to excite you.
Here's a link to ScanNCut Canvas. I encourage you to go ahead and start experimenting and see just how much you can do!
Whew! That was a lot of ScanNCut info! I hope it was useful to you. Let me know what other ScanNCut questions you have!
Thanks for stopping by!

I’m considering purchasing a Scan n Cut. I do collage and sell them. Are there any copyright issues to be aware of if I use the Scan n Cut cut files? Thank you.
