I had such an absolutely delightful group of women come to class in Austin.  I'm going to be sharing the photos from the three days of classes in two parts.  One part today and the next tomorrow.

Today's post includes photos from Friday's class, which was all about making colorful patterned papers for collage — using painting and printing techniques.  I was delighted to share a cornucopia of techniques over the day-long class.

Take a peek at the fun we had:

Saturday's class was the first half of my two-day "Big Collage" class.  Throughout the two days we worked on two canvases side-by-side (some people worked on more than two at a time) experimenting with different techniques and approaches and using our papers from the previous day's class.  Everyone was super brave and creative:

You'll have to come back tomorrow to see what everyone made!  (I'm such a tease!)

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S.
I'll be teaching two classes in San Jose, CA October 10-11, 2016 at A Work of Heart.  During the day there will be a two-day class on making your own junque journal with a tape binding.  In the evening there will be a two-day class on flips, flaps, and cut outs — or making your art journal super interactive!  Sadly, I will not be making it to Southern California this January.  So, if you're in Cali, I hope you'll come up to San Jose!  Looking forward to seeing you there!

  • Julie, I’ve been wondering if you clean your art foamies? I find them easy to clean but it looks like yours may have some paint layers on them. (I know you don’t clean your stencils, but have been wondering about the art foamies for a while).
