I've got two cool ScanNCut video tutorials for you today.  Both involve stamps, but in very different ways.

First up, is the answer to a question I get asked quite often: what's the best ink to use with the silicone stamps you cut with your ScanNCut?

Here's the tag & stamp from the video:

from the Balzer Designs Blog: Two #ScanNCut Stamp Techniques
This second video shares a whole new way of thinking about your vast stamp collection.

I designed the stamp that you can see me using in the video.  It's from my stamp line with Impression Obsession.  As a designer who makes a living based on what people buy from me, it goes without saying that this is a technique that is appropriate for personal use, with stamps you've purchased.  :)

Here's the stamp, stamped image, and drawing created by the ScanNCut and the Universal Pen Holder

from the Balzer Designs Blog: Two #ScanNCut Stamp Techniques

Pretty cool!  I hope you'll add these techniques to your ScanNCut repertoire!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I am a paid spokesperson for the Brother ScanNCut.  It is a machine that I love and use.

  • Thank you for showing the stamping with acrylic paint video.
I have been free hand drawing and painting and stamping with my created craft foam stamps on my practice tee shirt. I have not started my humming birds as I have mentioned in another Comment section. I am getting ready to start that project very soon.
I have cut a tag design that come with in the scanNcut. I will follow your directions. Granted these tags are not as big as store bought ones but they are a good size. I got 6 out of one sheet of card stock 8.5×11.
I do like the acrylic paints very much and I am using a textile fabric medium to mix in with my acrylic to make it suitable for the paint to stay on and not wash out or fade from the tee shirt.
I have also ironed the design after several days of letting the acrylic paint dry. I think now I am good with my test.
I love the feather that comes with the designs for the stamps. You are the best Julie. You little star you.
