The major part of my week-long trip to Southern California was for the Craft & Hobby Association's annual trade show: CHA 2016.
I taught a ScanNCut class…
…where, as always, my favorite part was meeting awesome people who love the ScanNCut!
I also demo-ed in the ScanNCut booth (what a face in that first photo)….
…where I got to spend lots of time with my friend, Erin (above).
And I shared a station with my friend, May, who made this beautiful display:

We each made ScanNCut aprons.
I'm looking a little liked I'm shocked by mine! Or maybe impressed?!
I also showed off my new stencil designs in The Crafter's Workshop booth.
I even spied some of my older stencils used to make samples in the Imagine Crafts booth.
Stencils need mediums and mediums need stencils. It's true love!
I joined up with Dina and Nat for a DVD signing!
All three of us are a part of the Art Journaling Live 2 DVD.
Nat and I had a good time being goofballs…as always!
And we had the chance to meet up with Rachel from Darkroom Door Stamps.
Nat & I will be teaching an art journaling workshop in Darkroom Door's classroom space (outside of Sydney, Australia) in April. It's sure to be an art adventure you won't want to miss!!
I spent a good deal of time posing (supermodel style) with Art Foamies and demoing Art Foamies and hanging with the good folks from Art Foamies – who are so super fun (but camera shy)!

I also spent a lot of time hanging out with my number one buddy, Mom:
This was my favorite mirror (above). It made you look long and lean and tall! Easiest diet in the world! ;)
I got to see a bit of the show, but mostly I stopped every few feet and did this:

There are a few products which debuted at CHA and I'm excited about. I've placed my orders and I'll be sure to share once I've tried them out.
Have you seen any new products that you're excited about? The problem with me is that I get excited about everything. It's so difficult to figure out what I'll actually use — or won't use — until it's in the house and sitting on a shelf…unused. Anyone else like that?

I think that most of the scrappers that I know are like that.
We HAVE to have that tool/supply/paint/paper collection and it will be used or it might just look good on our shelves. Shopping for supplies is almost as much fun as using them. LOL

I scan (pun intended) the floor and then go through a second time to purchase- I can stay within a budget this way. I am always so envious of those that can attend the CHA shows! I’m on youtube a lot this time of year viewing all the interviews and new products…. I think that I need to cultivate a friendship with a craft shop owner so I can tag along sometime.
