If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Happy Friday to all! Today I am sharing a process video with you. A peek at the layers and trials and experiments and things that go on when I art journal. I hope you enjoy it!

I love how you make doing faces seem so easy when I think they are so difficult! I found the girl with the pink big hair so beautiful. I was hoping you would stop after adding the orange highlights. She was so visually pleasing. THank you so much for sharing. You have so much talent! I loved the happy whimsical music! With much gratitude!

I found myself just short of speaking loudly at you through the computer “stop now, it’s nice” and then you continued. I need to learn to continue to see where it brings me. I just love your fast forward videos. Thanks Julie!

My three favorite things about this video:
1) Use a baby wipe to reveal previous layers – I ALWAYS forget that trick and it is an amazing one!
2) Love how you changed the entire profile of her hair/look with just a few scraps of painted paper which tells me to not feel stuck with something when it doesn’t feel quite right.
3) There is no need to start with a face circle (is that a term) – you started with the nose/lips and then drew from there. I usually start with the eyes and subsequently feel like I am “doing it all wrong”. Also liked that you reworked the jawline until you felt like it was right.
Love watching you paint!!

I liked watching the process to see the layers build and build. Just when I thought you’d stop, you kept going.
