Julie Fei-Fan Balzer

Based outside of Boston, Julie Fei-Fan Balzer is a painter, printmaker, and collage artist who constructs vibrant compositions. Julie's achievements include high-profile clients, multiple publications - including her book, “Carve Stamp Play” - and exhibits in New York City and throughout Massachusetts. • The final one is amazing! Long neck a la Modigliani. I like! Also, #2 is interesting and full of movement. And the yellow stripe complements the grey tones so nicely. Thanks for sharing.

  • I pinned that first one on my faces board months ago – She is saying, “Listen to me” in French – I think that is the face I make when my boys aren’t paying attention to me.
I dream of painting this freely one day!

  • Hi Julie,
Yes, these ARE amazing! My favorite two are the 3rd one and the last one. The last one specifically because I love foreign text and also drawings of women.

  • The first one immediately made me think of Munch’s The Cry painting which is a favourite of mine. But I also love the à la Modigliani style of the last one, the more so with the writing that seems to say there’s so much to read on people’s faces and bodies.

  • I particularly like the ‘triplets’ in the third photo. Their androgynous aspect of the look. And because I’m such a text nerd, I’m delighted with the one on the right!
