You guys, I'm sitting here reading the comments on today's giveaway post and I'm blown away by all the cool stenciling techniques!  I'm writing now to ask for your help.

I love showcasing other people's talent and creativity and I love stenciling!  Let's combine the two!

If there is a stenciling technique that you love — something super simple and basic, or something wickedly complicated and insane — I would love for you to do a guest tutorial post for this blog!

If you're interested, please email me with the following information:

  • Your Name
  • Your Blog (if you have one, not required)
  • A short description of the technique you'd like to share.

If no one else has already "claimed" that technique, then I'll write you back with more specific details — like dates and photo sizes, etc.

Some things to note:

  • You don't need to share a finished project.  You can, but you don't have to.
  • You don't have to be the inventor of the technique, but you do need to credit whomever you learned it from.
  • You can share the technique via step-by-step photos with written instructions or step-by-step video.  Your choice!
  • No deadline.  This is an open invitation.
  • I do prefer that you use Balzer Designs stencils in your tutorial, for obvious reasons.  ;)  There are more than 100 designs to choose from, so I'm sure you can find something you like!

Can't wait to see what you've got to share!

P.S.  I'm going to be really embarrassed if no one e-mails me wanting to do a guest post, so don't leave me hanging!

  • I like to use homemade modeling paste with stencils. I’m wanting to try coloring it with watercolors first! Might try coloring the paste red for using with the scalloped flowers stencils!

  • I like to use a mixture of paint and baby powder to make a paste. Then spread over the stencil to get a raised design.
    Thanks for all the inspiration!!
