I taught my Sketchbook class at The Ink Pad in NYC a week or two ago to a sold out crowd and had a really great time. So many of the students introduced themselves with the announcement: I can't draw. And so I spent the next several hours proving them all wrong!
Take a peek at the gorgeous sketches these talented ladies produced:
After lunch we headed outside for some urban sketching! Because it was a hot day, most people got their initial sketch down and then headed inside to finish it off!
Pretty amazing stuff for a room full of people who claimed to be unable to draw!
Of course, the best part for me, was spending the day chatting with ladies who love making art! And you know I always love it when you send me the photos that we take together! (Thanks, Erin!)

I love all of Julie’s classes and this one did not disappoint. I’m still not sure I can draw but this class made me forget about that and remember how much fun it is.

What fun everyone was having! It was interesting to see all the different watercolor sets the ladies had–quite a variety! And it was fun to see what they chose to draw, too! Oh, and that dress you were wearing, Julie–gorgeous! Made me think of the Marimekkos we loved back in the 60’s!
