As often happens when I take a break from painting, I find that I come back to the easel with a new perspective.
Definitely one of the least colorful paintings I've done in a while and I love it! I love it so much I hung it up right away:
It's hard to tell, but it's quite a large canvas: 30"x30" — and I think the size makes it rather powerful.
The text behind her is a quote that really resonates with me:

I think that is a wonderful face – and the almost monochromatic scheme just gives that much more focus to the subject. I’ve so enjoyed watching your face paintings become more and more alive! Wonderful work
