In the video I use Sakura Moonlight pens and Souffle pens on a Canson art journal. I hope you feel inspired to get to doodling, whether on a journal cover or inside your journal!

I tend to ignore covers and just focus on the pages inside. Now I have inspiration to fancy up my covers. Thanks!

Great post, great video, and I always love hearing your voice, Julie! You have a such a pleasant and informative delivery, and your voice is full and clear! It’s so nice to hear consonants and not have to keep running back the vid every few seconds with, “What did she just say?” May sound silly, but enunciation and pronunciation count for a lot, and you’re a pro!

Love this! Out today to purchase some pens–my Hobby Lobby did not have the Moonlight, so I got the Souffle and the Stardust! Now, can you tell me more about the art journal you used–the nice black cover lends itself well to this type of artwork on the cover, and all my Canson journals are multi-media and have an ugly cover!

Julie – thank you, thank you, thank you for that video link! I don’t know why, but after watching it, it’s like a lightbulb went off in my head and I thought “Wow, that’s simple, even I can draw a face like that!” It gave me something to start with and build upon!
