Welcome to Stencil-a-Palooza! Several days a week for the next month or so I'll be featuring one of my eighteen stencil designs for The Crafter's Workshop! Each post comes with a giveaway. Leave a comment answering the question-of-the-day and you might be the winner of that day's featured stencil in both 6×6 and 12×12! Comments will remain open on this post for seventy-two hours. Today I'm going to share a little bit about TCW226 Leaf Frame:
I designed the two "frame" stenciils so that the center area is 4×6 on the 12×12 version (perfect for a photo) and 2×3 on the 6×6 version (perfect for a wallet sized print).
You can use the frame as a whole (I used the 6×6 version on this layout):
Or you can just use part of it, as I did on the borders of this art journal spread:
With a little bit of masking know-how I created a crown of leaves for the figure on this tag:
On this layout I stenciled the leaves onto book pages and then cut them out:
I made two Christmas tags with the Leaf Frame:

I scrapbook and just recently started art journaling, thanks to your 30 Days class! I used to sew a lot in high school and just this past weekend, was told that I am a ‘cupcake genius’! I enjoy decorating cupcakes (and cakes) for my kids’ birthdays and school activities. Art is cool!

As for me, I love to play around with watercolours, acrylics and glimmer mists (anything messy really!)and make cards, ATCs, book pages and canvases. I have been having trouble lately with comments not appearing…so I will do this one again as well. These days I am mainly a scrapbooker and also make cards and do an occasional mixed media piece and work in an art journal. Decades ago I did a variety of needlecrafts and lace projects but after discovering scrapbooking and papercrafts I gave up everything else.

I love the leaf stencil. I do mostly altered books, journals and collage. However because I do art with kids one day a week I have to spread my wings and come up with projects for 5 and 6 year olds. My theme is “If I can’t glue it, I don’t do it.” My niece(the teacher) has me sewing for Christmas. Woe is me.

Great stencil! and I wouldn’t have thought to use it so many different ways – thanks. I quilted and scrapbooked until I found mini books online with Ustream. Now I only make mini books. My quilts keep calling to me but so far I have ignored them for 2 years but maybe one day the 4 I have started will at least get done. I have found ways to use some of my fabric stash in the mini’s. But thanks to you I keep finding reasons NOT to quilt!!! Thanks, Mary Werner

I would love to win this stenci. I have always had some kind of crafting in my life….I knit, crochet, have done tole painting and cutting out my own wood to paint. I love to colour and do a lot of card making. I have just discovered mixed media and am really enjoying it. This stencil would be a welcome addition to my collection.

Hi there! To me art is my way of life. Everything from cooking to even arranging my furniture. Everything is done so it’s pleasing to the eyes. Mostly I paint on large canvases for commissions. I also like to work on journals to warm up and plan compositions. I recently started sewing again after 40 yrs!! I’m making a baby quilt with pieces from her daddy’s shirts sewn in. I want to try and find time to make some Christmas decorations too…maybe.

I am a scrapbooker gone art journaling, I love knitting and earned a living with it long ago, my big thing is photography. I like to play around with lots of differnet things – scrapbooking, mixed media, art journal & quilting. Used to cross stitch, but alas, as I get older I can’t see the holes anymore on the canvas (and I’m only 44

I’m fairly new to the mixed media art scene but am totally loving it! I love trading ATCs and Chunky Lites. I also love doing mixed media canvases and am contemplating starting an art journal. Wow,I love those Christmas tags!)(And all the other pieces, too, for that matter!) Cool. I mostly like to slop paint around in a journal or on a loose piece of paper and make a big mess! I also love photograpy.
