Either way, my visit to Bizzy B was wonderful!
That's Barb, who owns Bizzy B, standing in front of the shop. It's a wonderful shop, extremely well curated and full of everything I like! If you're ever in Toronto, stop by!
Barb and her husband, Tony, were the best hosts! I stayed at their beautiful home and Tony cooked and cooked and cooked. It was awesome!
And they even decorated the store for my visit!
And had all the stencils displayed for sale:

On Friday night I taught a card class to a great group of women.
I have to pause for a moment to talk about the brilliance of this plug thing. Tony and Barb have wired the place so that these plug cubes come down from the ceiling so you can plug in your heat guns, lamps, etc. It's so brilliant! All stores need to do this!
On Saturday we went paint and ink wild making books!
I had two three-peaters (people who spent the entire weekend with me and took all three classes). Chloe (above) was one of them.
Another classroom must-have: the clothesline. Really makes drying so much easier!
Diane (above) was my other three-peater. And she claims that she looks exactly like the girl in this stencil. What do you think?
One really nice touch was that the price of the class included lunch! How awesome is that?
Even the garbage from this class was pretty!! I love that paper napkin!
Sunday we made amazing canvases. To say I was impressed with my students would be an understatement!
We even got Barb to play along, though how she stayed clean with long sleeves and no apron is beyond me.
Branca came to class AFTER running 20 kilometers. Talk about an iron woman!
Christine was definitely the doodling champion!
Deniza, who works at Bizzy B, said she was going to do a "Julie face" — apparently I have my mouth open in every photo!
And after all the messy fun was over, Chloe and her boyfriend James treated me, Deniza, Barb, and Tony to Korean barbecue.
We had a great time. It was fun to go with two native Korean speakers. And Barb and Deniza both learned how to use chopsticks! Yay!

I would of love taking those classes. But I live in an other province. Maybe some day you’ll come to Quebec? Maybe at that time, I won’t be on a tight budget. It looks like you had a lot of fun. Love all the projects you did and the ladies there are very talented. Thanks for sharing.

I had an absolutely fun time in the Sunday Collage class and only wish I had been able to take your Friday and Saturday classes. You are inspiring and a delight to spend a day with as were all of the ladies who attended our class. I hope I will have the opportunity to take another class sometime in the future.

Lucky, lucky me!!! I was able to play with Julie and the ladies at Bizzy B on Sunday. Mine are the hands that are covered in paint….and it only took til Wednesday to have the matte medium stop peeling off my hands and arms, even after three showers..LOL or should I say WTF? I really need to thank you Julie for teaching me how to love ” messy” and to not think or plan but simply ..to create. The abandon is both exhilarating and fulfilling! I love my new stencils and have ideas swirling in my head. You are a gifted artist and teacher, Julie. I hope to see you again and I hope your back is better. Thank you, thank you Julie and Barb

Lucky, lucky me!!! I was able to play with Julie and the ladies at Bizzy B on Sunday. Mine are the hands that are covered in paint….and it only took til Wednesday to have the matte medium stop peeling off my hands and arms, even after three showers..LOL or should I say WTF? I really need to thank you Julie for teaching me how to love ” messy” and to not think or plan but simply ..to create. The abandon is both exhilarating and fulfilling! I love my new stencils and have ideas swirling in my head. You are a gifted artist and teacher, Julie. I hope to see you again and I hope your back is better. Thank you, thank you Julie and Barb

Your classes look like such fun. Thank you for sharing so many photos of your students and their work…I almost feel like I was there with you all! (I wish I could have been!) They went home with some really amazing projects.

Wow! What a weekend it was! Paint and ink flying around, dodging wet laundry lines, templates getting dirty, what is the world coming to? Everybody had so much fun and it was great to have you in Toronto. We really hope to have you visit again.

Aw, man. I’m kind of glad this store isn’t located anywhere near me, because I’d probably be tempted to spend my mortgage payment on all of those gorgeous stencils. But I am a little jealous of HOW MUCH FUN you guys are having! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
