I have stumbled upon some posts that never got published in the chaos of the end of 2010.  So here is one from the archives, but it should be new to you!  🙂

Continuing in my quest to figure out how to create with a more restrained use of paint (no particular reason, just because I like to push myself to try potentially difficult things) is this layout:

I feel like it's kind of a different look for me and I really like it.  I'm also loving Prima's new journaling cards and I've used them all over this layout!  Behind the two little photos (see above) and above the focal photo (see below)…

…as well as for my actual journaling:

The rest of the page is simply filled with scraps of pretty paper.  (I'm wearing out my scallop circle punches!  I can't get enough of them!)

I chose papers that sort of blend together for a softer look that really lets the photos shine.

Thanks for stopping by!

  • I love paint but use it for my other crafts and rarely for my layouts. You have inspired me to try it on my next layout. I love the look on yours! How did you get the yellow line so straight. Did you us a tape line and then peeled off the tape?

  • I love this page! I love the pop that the yellow brings. Did you color edit the photos in some way? They are striking! Love!
