Another new sketch from Pencil Lines.  Here it is:

Sk217
And my interpretation:

LittleE-sm
It's a little bit different color scheme than I normally go for.

LittleEPAINT-sm
The pale pink paint I used for the background hasn't seen the light of day almost since I bought it.  But I'm always up for something new, you know?

This layout is made from lots of the leftovers from my desk.  The book pages, the washi tape, the flowery heart shape, the doilies, and even the photo were all snips and snaps leftover from Holidays Handmade tutorials.

LittleE-Detail3-sm
The book page is the outside of the heart I used on this project.  And the inside (gesso on top of a piece of clear vinyl) is a leftover from the same project.

LittleE-Detail1-sm
I cut the corners off of the doily I used to photograph these cupcakes and used them on this layout.

LittleE-Detail2-sm
The button cluster is on top of a label sticker that had a seaside sentiment written on it.  I liked the color and the pinked edges, but the sentiment had to go!

LittleE-Detail4-sm
I took a Jenni Bowlin button and created a bead cluster inspired by Michelle who was inspired by Diane's button tree tutorial.

So that's what you can do with some holiday leftovers!  😉

  • Good Morning 🙂
what a lovely LO! Often those LO using just the scraps from the stash by a kind of “intuition” are the best ones!
I have one problem after finding your blog: I think, the rest of my life is not sufficient for realizing all these great ideas I found here… very inspiring!
    Thanks a lot for sharing!
    Wishing you a great day,

  • Julie, I love this layout! I am especially digging the cluster of buttons. What a FUN way to use my button treasures.

  • This is kind of off the subject, but I’ve noticed that you have a well used watercolor pan set. I am looking for a good one, not travel sizes, but full size. Which one do you use?

  • Marta: I use Koi Watercolors by Sakura — the pan you see is actually a travel case.  I squeeze my tube watercolors into it — they dry and it looks like a pan set, but its not.  Does that make sense?
