I'm super psyched about today's tutorial! It's all about lettering! And let's face it, a big part of art journaling is the words — the stories we choose to record. So I made a little video that shows how to do each of the eleven lettering styles seen here (at least nobody can say that I'm not ambitious):
I think the key to being successful at anything is practice. I love doodling with words and spent most of college taking notes in spirals or other funky shapes. So I got plenty of practice! Check out the video:

mmm I found very difficult lettering. Just bought some very thin paint brush.I try to follow your precious advice…practice practice practice..

I couldn’t turn the volume up loud enough to hear you (it very well could be my computer) … can you write what you said about the gel glaze pens? I heard you had to let the first layer dry, but couldn’t get the whole tip! Did you say they will blend???

This has been an amazing week. Thank you SO much. I finally opened my art journal tonight (which I have been too scared to do anything with for weeks since I bought it!) and gessod a whole bunch of it, in preparation for journaling. Thank you for breaking the invisible boundary that was holding me back!
