This is one of my most favorite layouts I've made recently. It's just so full of energy.
I had originally intended the white cardstock for another project. I was going to do some stamping around a central motif, but I changed my mind after the pencil lines were drawn and the first few stamps were down. I reused the cardstock for this layout, but decided not to erase the pencil lines. I like them. (The original stamping is hidden underneath the red paint along the right side!)
These are all leftover photos. I generally print photos as I go. But sometimes I end up with extra prints or photos that didn't print quite right, etc. These all go into a bag – orphan photos. I try to use as many as possible and this layout uses three of them! Yay!
You can see a bit of stitching here and that cool calendar tag from Elle's Studio. I never would have bought it myself. It came in my Studio Calico kit and it turned out to be the perfect embellishment for this page! One of the things that I love about getting a kit is that it forces me to use things I wouldn't normally buy. This is a good thing that keeps my layouts from all looking the same!
I absolutely cannot stop using these stamps. They're from Studio Calico and I love overlapping them for a cool haphazard look. The yellow butterfly shape was made by cutting out the negative left by the punch when I punched the two butterflies on the right side of the layout.
Here's to 2010 being an absolutely AMAZING year!
Mwah!

Just saw your name on Tim Holtz’s blog as a winner in the 12 tags contest…..BRAVO! I loved how seeing what you would do with each day’s tag.

Just love your style Julie! Your inspiring blog is the reason I am getting back to my artsy roots in my scrapbooking. Sadly, the alpha stamps you used are sold out at Studio Calico. Do you know if they will restock? I just love those! Also, what type of paint did you use in your title? Love the effect. Is it water color?
