I thought I’d share some photos of a fabric book I made for my Mother for Mother’s Day. It’s a concertina and I like that it stands up on its own (nice for display). I took a wonderful poem that she wrote and simply illustrated it. Here are the pics:

  • Love it!! It is projects like this that are calling me to take up quilting – as if I need another hobby to drain my wallet.
This is an amazing project. Can I adopt you so that I can expect something like this on Mother’s Day? She must be thrilled.

  • I can’t stop looking at this! I want to give it a try. I know I can do a lot of the stitching on my machine but how the heck do you get a machine to stitch the small circles on some of your pages? I don’t think I can get mine to do that. Is there hand-stitching involved? I could probably get my hands to do some of that work -lol.

  • This is so neat! Julie I love it – I’m sure your mom was thrilled. Seriously – give me some sewing advice. I’m fine with straight lines, but anything that’s too curvy just gets all tangled up on my machine.
