Picking up where I left off yesterday…

9.13.0913-front

A very plain page here.  I pulled off the journaling card (got to love UnDu) and added the date.

The back of the page got a few vinyl stickers and some white pen action.  Can you tell it was mid-month and I was too busy to spend much time on the book?

Below, on the left, you can see the page that was there.  I replaced it with a piece of cardboard that arrived in my Chinese food takeout bag.  With the painted words, it really has a cool kind of outsider art feel, don't you think?

And here's the back:

Below, you can see the original page for day #15:

I replaced it with the page below, which uses one of my all time favorite inking techniques.  But, I can't share it because it's part of my Technique-a-Palooza class!

This is the back…

…which looks similar, but it's a totally different technique.  It's a remnant from my "Trash to Tools" tutorial, which was on Ali Edwards' blog.

I know I say this every single time, but it's amazing how much paint transforms things.  A little blue paint and a whole new page is born!  The journaling square looks super different with the heart placed on top of it too.

Back to my old tricks on this one.  I combined the four photos in Photoshop and printed them as a single 4×6 photo.  A bit of journaling with a white pen and I simply stuck it to the page.  So easy!

I'll share the rest of the book tomorrow!

Before I go, I just had to link to this post by Kelly Purkey.  I love all the very cool things she's done with type.  The third layout is my favorite.

Thanks for stopping by!
