Inspired by Holidays Handmade

Here's to a fantastic day three!  Isn't it wonderful how so many people are so darn creative and clever?

Lucy opened the day with a fantastic video!  If you haven't had a chance to watch it, you really should.  Great painting and layering techniques — ones that I use all the time!  Love it!

Chel's geodisic ornament tutorial was just so cool!  I've seen people make similar ornaments on The Carol Duvall Show using photos or Christmas cards.  They're both heavier weight paper, so it works well for that technique!  Though I have to admit, having a die that cuts those perfect shapes is making me think about a purchase!  🙂

I also loved Diane's video on her background painting technique.  Easy to do and with great results.  I'm a big fan of smooshing your paint around!  The video is only about a minute and well worth your time, so be sure to click it!

And thank you to all of you who have taken the time to leave a comment for all our lovely guest bloggers!  Tutorials are a lot of hard work and I so appreciate each of them taking the time to put their ideas together!  I also wanted to share a few projects inspired by the first few days of Holidays Handmade!

I am so delighted to see each of these women taking inspiration and putting their own spin on it!  That's the best! Remember, just because we're making holidays crafts doesn't mean that you can't take these techniques and use them year round!
