ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

I have to admit that I've been having some trouble art journaling as of late.  I can't seem to find the words.  In times like that, I find it's best to use a quote!  I collect a lot of them on Pinterest (find my favorite quotes here).  Another good place to look for quotes is Brainy Quote (you can search by topic or by author).

Here's a quick page I put together with a quote I adore (by an author whose name is super fun to say):

I used a mixture of paint and marker for the lettering on this page.  (And before you ask, yep, an online lettering class is coming your way in 2013!)

The next time you're stuck on the journaling, why not try a quote?  For the next week I'll be tweeting some of my favorite quotes to help inspire you!

Here is this week's linky list:

Thanks for stopping by!

  • I always love when you pin quotes as they often end up in my art journals and collages. Thanks for always being a wealth of inspiration.
I’ve been away from my art journal a lot lately but then this week I started journaling in a huge watercolor pad and I ended up finishing two pages and am more than halfway done a third. Very unusual for me.
