If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Today I'm sharing some art journal pages from August. Once again, I skipped a few days here and there and that's life. Don't berate yourself if you don't manage to journal every single day, just get back to it as soon as possible! And remember, it's supposed to be and relaxing — not work!
I used my favorite white pen to journal on this page.
The "hello" was cut using the Brother ScanNCut. I had cut it for something else, but didn't end up using it, so it ended up here in my art journal!
The face was created using my "Three Quarter" stencil.
This is the finished page from the "Page Prep Video" post I did a while ago.
The tag isn't actually stitched into the journal. The heart is stitched to the tag and then I glued the tag into my journal.
Sometimes the junque journal pages are so pretty that I can't bear to cover them up! Thusly, I simply left the right side of this spread alone.
These are the actual chipboard letters I used in my "Sprayed Boxed Letters Tutorial." I don't let anything go to waste! Once they were dry, I stitched them onto the page.
These flowers were inspired by a doodle I did while on the phone. As soon as I got off the phone, I opened up my journal and got painting.
The face started as a demo in a class I taught.
When I got home I started experimenting with the background and adding some more color with markers.
This is another in-class demo that I fixed up a bit when I got home.
I really like the orange-y red in the bottom corner of her hair.
This is my "Curl Frame" stencil at work. I designed it so that the design creates a border to hug your journaling, etc.
So that's a peek in my journal. How about a peek into yours? Here's this week's linky list:
Thanks for stopping by!
The flowers are pretty cute on the page. How the heck did you stitch them onto an art journal page? By hand?

Your August pages are gorgeous. Lately my art journal pages have become a kind of therapy & even though I don’t do a lot of writing the feelings are expressed. Thanks for sharing, your work inspires me!
Peace,
Donna
