When I made the journals I shared on Friday, I created a problem for myself: the journals don't fit in any of my existing bags. Because I do most of my sketching away from home, I needed to have a bag to put all my supplies in. So, I did what any crafty girl would do and decided to make a bag!
I gathered my supplies…
…and very quickly I had a brand new bag for my sketchbooks and supplies!
I lined the inside of the bag with a bright quilting cotton.
I love that it has a zipper! So many of my other art pouches have a flap with velcro or a snap and a zipper is just so much more secure.

Hi Julie, this is lovely. Can you tell me what you use to paint the canvas? Do you need special paints or will acrylic do? I recently bought a bag for my art stuff from a charity shop as it has the perfect size of pockets inside but it’s a hideous Barbie doll pink and I wondered if I could paint it without it cracking. It’s made of plastic to look like leather. Any suggestions? Many thanks x
