from the Balzer Designs Blog: Tutorial: Gelatin Bumping
When I was experimenting with yesterday's technique of "stencil bumping," I decided that there had to be a quicker way to do it when working with stencils.  So, I pulled out my gelatin plate (you can use a Gelli Plate, a Gel Press, or a homemade gelatin plate) and gave it a try.  In the video you'll see that I tried a number of different methods for registration (lining up).  Take a peek:

Here are the samples from the video:

I think that this technique looks best when you keep the second print relatively close to the first.  But, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  :)

I hope you'll give this technique a try!  Thanks for stopping by!

  • Wow Julie this is another awesome bumping project. I think I like the effect of the skyline. Very nice indeed. Oh yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it is all beautiful.
I just wanted you to know I took a look at Scan n Cut facebook USA. I was surprised to see the new accessory. But not surprised at to what it was. I had feeling about that coming along some day.
I will say the sad part is I wish the video had more information about what was being demonstrated.
I wonder when Brother will be coming out with it on the accessories page. Looks like it should be a big hit with the scan n cut crowd.
    Have a great Wednesday,
