Here's the run down:
Thursday night is a party, baby. A Gelli Print Party! In this three-hour workshop we’ll be using a Gelli Plate to make stacks and stacks of beautiful papers. We’ll be using stencils, stamps, fingers, string, and more to create colorful papers that are uniquely you. I will guide you through the easy set up that allows you to get the most out of every gelatin printing session. I’m even going to show you a super cool registration technique to ensure your prints land just where you want them.

If you'd like to make your own, this class is for you! As the name of the class suggests, we will work on six 6×6 mixed media collages at the same time! Working on multiple pieces at the same time is a great way to loosen up, experiment, learn, innovate, play, and get your mojo singing! Throughout class Julie will guide you through the process step-by-step, sharing tips on color, composition, painting and collage techniques, and so much more!
This is one of the first classes I ever taught and it remains a super popular one — probably because it's so easy to do and looks so good! In just three hours we’ll finish two small painted paper collages! That’s right! Working on two canvases at the same time, you’ll be a creative beast busting out beautiful and colorful art. In this fun evening workshop, I’ll show you my super simple technique for creating collages with clear and recognizable images.
This class has tons of my favorite techniques crammed into one awesome day long class! Come and spend the day creating in your art journal. We’ll create colorful backgrounds, do some fancy lettering, explore pattern, and work on bringing a page together to make it sing! Whether you’re a beginning art journaler or a seasoned veteran, there will be plenty of techniques and ideas to explore in a relaxed and playful environment.
If you've never been to St. Petersburg, it's quite close to the Tampa airport and has several museums, including the excellent Salvador Dali Museum. And, of course, there are tons of hotels and restaurants around to make your visit quite enjoyable. So, wherever in the world you are, grab a cheap flight to Tampa and come and play with me!
