I love working with vinyl. My ScanNCut makes it super duper easy. Because vinyl is so super thin, one of the cool things you can do is create layered vinyl designs.
Check out the how-to for my notebook:
Download the design HERE.
However, if you're like me, you want to create your own layered vinyl designs. Well, here's a video where I show you exactly how to do that. The key is registration marks.
Here's the paint tube from the video:
Pretty cool, huh?! What do you like to create with vinyl?
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Julie,
Hope you had a Happy Labor Day.
Just watched your layering of vinyl video and oh my you have done it again. This is absolutely fantastic. It is nice to cut vinyl as for me it meant just really using one color. I think this is fabulous as now I can use several colors.
Love all the edit functions you used in canvas you just taught me some more new tricks thank you.
Well you keep up the awesome ideas and designs. I will be practicing this technique and see how I do with it. I wonder how this would work on fabric with glitter iron on vinyl??
Happy Tuesday,
Fawna

What a great idea to use registration marks to align layers. I made a framed home sweet home vinyl sign a few weeks ago as a housewarming gift, but if I had watched this first I could have enhanced the bird image I added, by using a second colour. I did, at least, reuse the negative part of the vinyl as an adhesive stencil on the calico bag I made as the gift bag, so I could sponge paint through it. Using the registration mark idea, I could have applied vinyl cut outs as if they were stickers for windows and a door, to the house shape I used on the card.
Thank you for all your inspiring videos.
