#PrintInktober: Favorites from Days 1-7

Well, #PrintInktober is well underway and the prints people are producing are AMAZING and creative and inspiring! I will share what I've been doing tomorrow, but today I wanted to share some of the amazing work from other people. Take a peek:

As you can see, all stamps are welcome — hand carved, rubber, silicone, foam, even found objects like bubble wrap!  Whatever your style and whatever your skill level, you are welcome to the party!  AND, it's not too late to join in.  You are most welcome to contribute to #PrintInktober just once or twice!  C'mon!  Get those stamps out and have fun!

 Thanks for stopping by!

  • Oh my word…my jaw is on my desk for some of these pieces. SO good! And SO inspiring!!!!
Julie – the other day on Instagram I asked if you make any prototypes before making your Printinkober pieces/videos. You responded with: “Nope. The ‘prototyping’ is making art every day for the last six years”. I just wanted to let you know how much I loved that response! It really struck a cord for me: I have a charity art project that’s due at the end of October. I’ve had the hardest time getting started with it, because couldn’t decide what I wanted to do, and every time I changed my mind, I’d worry thinking “okay, but now I have to make a prototype.” But your comment flicked the lightbulb on for me: if I stick with the kind of art I do most, I don’t have to get bogged down by making a prototype! Frequent practice IS the prototype.
Sorry if that was long winded – I just had to share. You helped me find my confidence. I know what I’m doing…I do this for fun all the time! Thank you, as always, for the inspiration AND the wisdom!! You rock!
