Printmaking

Tomorrow is Printmaker’s Party!

I have been dragging furniture around, cleaning, and cooking in order to get everything ready for this weekend's SOLD OUT art retreat: Printmaker's Party!

PrintmakersParty-500

It's an arty party!!

This three-day workshop is packed with printmaking fun. We will be making our own stamps, stencils, and silkscreens. We will also be using the gelatin plate to make both collage papers and finished artwork.

I have made each of the students a hand bound book to keep track of all of the different techniques.

I'm super excited for students to make their own stamps, stencils, and silkscreens, as well as a stash of collage papers and finished prints ready to frame.  This is a technique heavy class and I think the students are going to loooove it!

If you'd like to come to Boston and take an in-person class with me, I'd love to have you.  Classes are intimate, so you're sure to get lots of personal attention.

Here are some answers to frequently asked logistical questions:

  • Students have come from across the country, as well as Canada!  So it's not too far for you to travel.  Boston has a world class international airport with lots of flights in and out.
  • I live in a suburb of Boston.  There are two hotels I recommend that are in the same town.  Both are located adjacent to a mall with movie theatre, dining, etc.  If you come without a car, we can easily shuttle you to and from these two hotels as they're about a seven-minute drive from our home.
  • Breakfast, snacks, and lunch are all provided to you, as well as most art supplies.  So you really can simply pack clothes you're willing to get dirty and a toothbrush!  I have traveled all over the world to teach and to take classes.  Packing art supplies was always my least favorite thing.
  • Class runs 10am-4pm every day and you are allowed to stay and work until 6pm, if you wish.

Come with a friend, a spouse, or a child, and turn an art adventure into a super special vacation.

I hope to see you in class!  Thanks for stopping by!
