Last month I hosted my first three-day retreat in my home studio.
It was exhausting and exhilarating and so much fun! People came from across the country and even Canada. What a treat — three days of deep discussions and lots of discoveries, with a fabulous group of artists. Take a peek:

- "Julie has developed a colour course that nails the concepts, the mixing practise and the applications in art. She is funny, while delivering a seriously huge amount of content. We all left full of enthusiasm, and sad the the experience had ended."

Julie is an upbeat and thoughtful instructor; she knows how to break a subject down into manageable steps & lead you through various exercises to really get the information into your brain. She is careful to make sure each student can identify how they will use the information and techniques in their own art practice. Her energy and sense of fun keep everybody buoyed up. She, Steve and their dear little boy treated us all like visiting royalty & made everyone feel totally welcome in their home. Knocked it outta the park!"
- "We covered a lot of material about color. Some was a review but most was new. It could have been overwhelming but it all came together quite well in the end. Good material given out that will serve as future reference. My capacity to observe art and do may own will be better because of this class. Thank you."
