This is a video I recorded back in November 2021, but never edited and shared.  However I had a pocket of free time this weekend and so I finally crossed it off of my to-do list!

I wanted to take the time to not only show you what I bought, but also to share WHY I bought it.  A big part of my teaching philosophy is that understanding "why" empowers you to create the art that you've always wanted to.  Instead of copying or relying on others, you gain the knowledge that allows you to pursue your artwork without the noise of other people in your head.  Enjoy!

I'd love to know what your creative shopping habits are like.  Let me know!

Thanks for stopping by!

Julie Fei-Fan Balzer

Based outside of Boston, Julie Fei-Fan Balzer is a painter, printmaker, and collage artist who constructs vibrant compositions. Her artwork investigates the interplay of identity and perception, inviting viewers to take a longer look. Passionate about connecting with and inspiring other artists, she shares her expertise through in-person workshops and her online classroom at MyArtPractice.com. Julie's achievements include high-profile clients, multiple publications - including her book, “Carve Stamp Play” - and exhibits in New York City and throughout Massachusetts. • I have a few of those trays. I use them to keep projects in. Well many projects or supplies in one tray. They stack well with the other trays I have for that purpose.
