The town I live in is hosting a public art exhibit called "Yard Art." Everyone is welcome to participate by placing a piece of art in their yard from March 5 to April 2. I have been working on a large mural (almost 20 feet long) to wrap around the giant tree in our driveway.
I'm using regular acrylic paint on top of tar paper (also called roofing felt).
This mural took me several days of non-stop work. But I loooooved every minute of it. I miss working on big pieces. I am resolving to do more of it.
Now that it's done, I'm going to seal it and get it up on the tree. I'll be sure to share some photos of it in situ next week! I also hope to run around town and snap some photos of the other yard art!
Thanks for stopping by!

This is so cool! I can’t wait to try it!
I have a couple of questions: Do you use chalk or soap, or something else for your outlines? And, how have your previous works on this substrate held up, like the Tar Paper Face from 2018?
