One of the most crazy cool features of the ScanNCut is its ability to cut around stamped images. However, the ScanNCut isn't able to distinguish between a word and a shape. So when you have a stamped sentiment like this one:
The scanner wants to cut around each individual letter (aka shape)…
…instead of creating a block, like this:
In this video I show you how to create that block:
It's quick and easy to do and makes fussy cutting sentiments so very easy!

I was wondering if there is a transfer tape that can be used on paper. I have designed some detailed birds which I want to cut out in paper and the stick on to card. Is there a really low tack transfer tape that can be removed from paper to make the transfer easier.

Thanks so much for posting this. I am delayed in commenting as I found and ordered the Enhance Image Tracing as thought I needed. I originally followed all steps from the video and did not work. Only part of one letter was caught and cut. Older machine, CM350, so thought I might need the Enhance Image Tracing. It arrived and is installed. So trying again. I get to the 3 minute mark on video (all goes well until then), when I pull in the red dash lines nothing turns blue showing what will cut. I then tell it to put on the mat and I cannot select or edit. All is greyed out and cannot select. I am extremely frustrated trying to figure this out and was one of the pro reasons for purchasing this machine.
