AJEDHeader2020

If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, the concept is simple: It's a commitment to take ten minutes each day to do something in your art journal.  No need to finish anything or even like it.  It's about making the time to nourish your creativity every day!  If you have the time to flip through your phone, you have the time to Art Journal Every Day.  If you'd like to share what you make, use the hashtag #artjournaleveryday so that we can all take a peek.  You can find new Art Journal Every Day posts here on the blog most Fridays.  The archives go back to the first Art Journal Every Day post in 2010.

I finished two more pages — one simple and one very complicated — in one of my Gelli Journals and I wanted to share them with you:

These two pages are so very different in feeling and yet they were created using the exact same process and techniques.  That's one of the coolest things about art.  It allows you to go in so many different directions.  It's also why you never have to copy anyone.  You can learn techniques and ideas and easily filter them through your own unique lens to create art that is uniquely you!  I hope you have an art filled weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

PS: There are just 4 seats left in my live online gelatin printing class on Sunday.  Hope to see you there!

  • Lovely! Your art always makes me happy. Is the second one done freehand or did you use stencils?
